i need a lot of help. i am great with photoshop and illustrator and all that. i have been using dreamweaver for a while. i have two websites http://www.traveleak.com is on of them. i just use cells for everything, it works but i know its not the right way. i just copied the code and make a bunch of new pages and pasted it then changed titles and such. i know theres any easier way. how do you make templates and use css? i know its kinda vague, but what would be the best route to go to learn this?

I have learnt through trial and error

http://www.w3schools.com/ for learning css and coding

    And Dreamweaver for tutorials

You need each page to have a title outlining the honest content of that page, use the meta tags -

    So for http://www.traveleak.com/europe/index.html

Put this similar to this in the head

    <TITLE>Europe - Destinations and Accommodations</TITLE>
<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Europe, accommodations, Destinations, UK, Malta, Southern Europe, Travelling">
    <META NAME="description" CONTENT="Destinations across Europe - London, Paris, Madrid">

Have you reasearched Key Words?? You have a link on your site "Accommodations" who uses that term to search google or MSN? not many I guess.

You need to search the web for some direction. Digitalpoint has most of the answers you need. Your idea looks very good and if that content is yours and original you will do well with some focus.

Spend the next 2 weeks searching - look for SEO in google searches, look for Matt Cutts Blog, SEO guy, there is more on the web about getting on the web than anything else imo

    Good luck

    Jamie

EDIT - The most useful thing to seek ideas is look at the code on other peoples sites, in your tool bar go to view - page source, that will let you see what others are doing.

One tip - Do not put stuff that is not on the page into your meta tags

I've had a look and think the website layout is nice and clean, but feel as though it needs a little bit more style to it. perhaps add a banner of sorts to grab peoples attention and try and use a little bit more colour throughout the site to fill up some of the white?

Not bad:) For me the white background is a bit too bright. Maybe use a light blue or grey. The top graphic the text is very blurry:eek: And when I click on United States (top twenty destinations) it takes me to a page about Italy, a little confusing to your visitors.
Looks like you just copied your California article: http://www.traveleak.com/northamerica/California.html from this site: http://www.world66.com/northamerica/unitedstates/california
Did not check the other articles but it might be wise to use original content and not just copy other peoples work. (unless you own world66)

While the ads from google do seem to fit pretty well, they are still ads and they are huge. I would suggest scalling down on those and add more color or a stronger logo.

I'll be harsh. If you start another review thread for this site, you're going to be booted from the forums.
