Some questions for the webmaster bloggers out there. Target: Get PR2 & above within 2-3 months for a new blog What is formula to achieve above target? 1) Content- Minimum number of original articles? Would PLR articles/ content help? 2) SEO/ Link Development- Minimum Quantities of Manual Directory submissions, article submissions etc ? Just estimates, as it is often hard to say quantities or number of submissions 3) Niche - Does niche make a difference? 4) Other things? Cheers!
PR is dependant on number of backlinks, PR of the pages linking to your site, and how many external links those sites linking to you have. its very possible to gt PR2 within 2-3 months depending on when google updated their PR last and when will be the next PR update. all you need is few good PR backlinks
Content has nothing to do with PR. PR comes from the page linking to you. A large percentage of directory sites have been discounted by google. PR is divided between the number of links on a page. i.e. a PR3 page linking to you passes approximately 85% of it's PR but that PR is divided between the number of links on the page. A page without only 1 link on it passes 10X the PR as a page with 10 links on it. Remember, PR != rankings. If you want to rank well, forget about PR and concentrate on getting links from relevant sites. Getting a link from an authority site (one that already ranks well for the keyword is ideal). You never know when google will update the toolbar PR. It is usually around every 3-4 months.
The calculation behind a concrete number of links including the PR for certain pages requires the skills of a rocket scientist. I would simply focus on providing top notch quality content and providing as much as I can to my visitors. Doing this will automatically build your PR because users that find the information helpful will use it. It seems nowadays so many marketers are focusing on creating back links. While it is good to have a link strategy fare more can be accomplished when user find the site or information provided beneficial and start doing more work for your link campaign than you could ever do yourself.
Yeah you should focus on building original and keyword-rich content. And do that regularly. Some 5 new articles a week for first couple of months. Contact relevant sites/bloggers by emailing them, linking to them, posting comments to their posts and hopefully they will respond by linking back to you. Join social media like Twitter and Stumbleupon, get many friends and submit your content there. Join relevant forums and start posting there. All in all, these should get you on the way to many relevant inbound links from quality sites which mean increased PR for yourself. Just be consistent and persistent as it takes time to build good PR...
Get several follow links from PR site. Your site will receive PR too. The easiest way is buying PR links at BST Forum.
