getting sent to america??

Hi guys

Im trying to send a document to an american company a dedicated server
now the fax number they gave me is like this:

+1 (123) 456-789 ( obviously this isnt the right number im just showing example ) now im from the uk and when i try this number its not going through, so my question is

Q: for me to phone this number from the uk, what do i have to put in to get it to go through like what do i put in instead of the +1 ?

To call United States , you have to dial: 00 + 1 + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

 

Yeah, this obviously isn't right because you are missing at least one number. 1 - 123 - 456 - 7890 is the proper formatting (note the last series has 4 digits, not 3)
