toplogsplitters.com is where I believe you told us to go. I see that you are offering some very specialized products for the wood splitting market. I did not go all of the way through the purchase process, so I do not know what your shipping costs would be; however, I noted that you are charging exactly the same prices as Amazon (it is a feed from them) so the first question I would have as a buyer is for the same cost why would I not buy from Amazon more well-known and trusted brand? My impression of a log splitter buyer is that of someone who likes to find a deal and shop for the best price. You don't have a lot of products; I would suggest considering manually editing the prices to offer a 5% discount from your margin and see if that is enough of a discount to win the deal.

Like jrbiz said it's all about the brand. More or less people don't know when they first build the first e-commerce how to compete with big guys. One thing advertise is the problem and management. Think how your sales would be if you would get let's say 1% conversion from 1-10 mil traffic?! I guess would look very well. My point is that in order to grow sales you need to invest and grow your brand. You can even have bigger prices than Amazon as long as you are known! That's the "big secret", to get known.

Pm me for more details if you need .
    All the best,
    Matt:)

There are really only two things you can do to increase your conversion rate: either lower your prices to be more competitive, or extensively re-brand your products, emphasizing high quality and durability (i.e., what is it that makes your products better than those being sold by someone else).

Adding more products typically does nothing for sales unless they are competitively priced.

I would also spend some time and money on a redesign of your website. Though Amazon is handling the actual sales, your website is an extension of your company and people generally don't trust an unprofessional looking website when spending money. I would also invest in SSL for your site. That padlock in the address bar says a lot to a potential customer.

    Best of luck.
