Getting rid of the "Did you mean:" in google search

    Hi,

My company name (databloc) is spelt without the 'k' (yes that was always the original idea) and whenever someone searches google for it (link), google tries to suggest the correct spelling.

What are my chances of getting this removed by optimisation or site popularity? Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it possible?

I don't know the answer to this, but some of those "did you mean" are kind of funny. Irritating at times, too when I know exactly what I mean. Once it a while, it helps. :)

i think this might be bad search engine programming in google. Not sure you'll be able to correct this, unless you contact google directly about it.

There's nothing really you can do about it. It a way of how the search engine works.

You can try to put more databloc into your content and see if it helps.

Google is not smart enough to know what each user is thinking, so it adopts the safest route of suggesting the correct spelling, which it assumes is what the majority needs.

It's very simple... promote and promote and promote until google recognizes your site...

Myseoblog.net before when typed in search box google always gives an option "You mean musikblog.net?" but after Myseoblog.net got positions in google with different keywords, musikblog disappear..

Excessive use of "supposed misspellings" can trigger a filter and lead to penalisation.

I'd try first with link building using your term, or just the URL as anchor.

in my experience, once you have enough content, links and backlinks, the "did you mean" should go away.

I have the same problem, my site has been around for about a year and Google still doesn't recognize it when I type it in. It always say did you mean when I type the domain name. It is pretty annoying.
