Hi my web marketing company has just registered a new domain themusicvideosite.com - not after a back link as the site isnt even live yet, any feedback on the name would be great mind you, The idea of the site is to give unsigned, and maybe one day signed bands a place to post their music videos too in order to get more promotion and maybe give the unsigned ones a way of getting signed. The site will be completely free for everyone to use, bands will not be paid for uploading their videos nor will they be charged for the bandwith etc. Which brings me on to the enternal question in web business. The best way to get revenue from this site. We are currently pondering several ways. - banners from related products via clickbank/azoogle - adsense the main draw backs with either of these promotions is that they wil be taking people off the site in order for us to earn revenue. What other suggestions do people have please forgetting revenue from the site. We have a couple more ideas such as selling advertising direct to companies and also the script which we have written for the site would allow us to insert a xsec advertisement which will play before the chosen video starts. On these two who would be the best companies to approach, would ti be best to go direct labels etc. We understand that we will need to have good traffic for this and dont plan on starting it for a couple of months however it gives us a goal to work to. Are there any other revenue sources we may have over looked? thanks
