Up till now every time i read about backlink, SEO, PR i just get one sentence common from all relevant back link or try to get relevant backlinks. I also many a time suggest that. But right now i just want to ask all of you where to get these relevant links from as everyone say 1) do social media and social bookmarking but sorry to say these websites are only generate traffic and not link and they are not relevant too 2) article submission - article submission websites also contain all the category and they are also not relevant to the topic 3) forum posting - they also don't do much for link building just provide traffic 4) asking link exchange to the website related to your niche - people say the mails we provide and the link page that provide link of the neighbor or other website is also not relevant and the mail now a days asking for exchange is of no use 5) analyzing competitor and asking for links - what if competitors have sponsored links and competitors are so big that their own website contains so many pages and substitutes where they provide link from Now anyone can please suggest me any straight way how to get these relevant link apart from those usual SEO techniques or in other what's smart way getting the links that stay longer
hmm I kind of don't get what you're asking because the 5 points you have mentioned are all relevant to getting backlinks. Remember, you cannot rush getting back links either. Vary it up, make it look natural to Google. I noticed you had variations of: The most effective way is to write some content for a related website for free. Contact them and ask for them to include your article. Ask if you can put a link slap bang in the middle. Make this your keyword and link it to your site. This is the most effective way. I noticed you didn't quite mention that in your question but had similar techniques. If all else fails, research an SEO book, buy it and learn from there and maybe it might make things more clearer.
I think you are correct at some points but not in rest of them. Forum posting do allows you to get traffic as well as backlinks. Link exchange - if you get links from a relevant website then its considerd as backlink. What you are talking about is 3-ways link building. In this scenario the webmaster places your link on some other highly ranked website but in return he looks for link from your website. Blog commenting also gets backlinks if they are done using do-follow blogs.
generation2020 you are consistently giving crap advice. When the OP was talking about link exchanges, he was not talking about 3-way link exchanges. All of the strategies that he has listed provide relevant backlinks. So I don't know why you say the OP is not correct on his points. The OP knows what he is talking about. He is just hoping to hear about some other strategies or easier ways to get relevant links. Really you don't need to worry about relevancy so much. You can make your links relevant by using good link anchor text. It doesn't matter so much what the actual page is about.

shreyaa, the things you mentioned all work. You need to be both vigilant and patient. Keep doing them and you'll notice that it works. Some of the things that you listed as "only providing traffic" like social networking and forum posting are two of the most valuable types of traffic you can get. If you have a good site then you'll get plenty of natural related links...exactly what you are looking for...from people who see your site in the forum and give you a link simply because they like your site. So be patient and keep working on your links.
Hey buddy Thanks For your advice hmm i was doing these things but the idea you gave was quite interesting. In fact now a days i am finding few guest blog related to my niche to post the new posts for blog. But as per your idea i would try this one also as it seems great advice. But yes doing SEO one thing i have been cleared about link building is that its a slow and steady process. The back links coming late would stay long too
