    A few things.

I have never understood the concept of killing a believer over a sin. If Allah is most merciful, why wouldn't he want someone, a child of his, to die in a state of grace rather than in a state of sin, and eternal damnation? Is there not some consideration for redemption?

Secondly, so I am clear: If I were once a muslim, and now am not; and write about why. I am to be killed, correct?

What if I never was a muslim, but I am an individual who speaks out against certain tenets of Islam - am I considered an enemy, and therefore, I am to be killed? What constitutes enmity? To take my example, if I condemn killing someone over relinquishing their former beliefs as a barbaric philosophy - am I an enemy of Islam, and therefore worthy of death?

bfebrian, I am not following you, at least insofar as this was intended to be a response to my questions.

sometimes people do things that they normally don't do but they've done it without intention. I don't believe someone should be killed if he watched Adultery or such...

If god forgives then humans can do the same...it is good to forgive then not to
