Getting re-indexed after page is parked?

Any tips or tricks to get Google crawling back?

I have a site that was parked for six months, just put a wordpress blog on it.. have created about 25 posts so far, pinging each time. Used the Google sitemaps plugin to make a sitemap and submitted it to Google Webmaster Tools. All in the last 3-4 days. The site hasn't been crawled in nearly a month.

I suggest you build some backlinks for your site. That will help to get the crawler back in you site.

Yep I agree. You need to get some backlinks to your site for Google to find your site again. It would help if those links are from blogs or other websites that frequently add new content. Those websites would get crawled more often so your link would get picked up sooner.

    1. Create a sitemap and submit it to the major search engines.
    2. Develop some backlinks as the others noted.

That will get your site indexed after being parked.

Use Google Webmaster tools to resubmit your site and also build new backlinks, I would suggest signature links even for that matter.

First of all if you are not planing to use that particular domain just add noindex so that the robot don't crawls your site because once your empty page has been crawled than your website's future value gets affected..

    I disagree on two parts.

First, some parked domains actually rank in the search engines. Deindexing them could reduce traffic and revenue.

Second, taking a parked domain and turning it into a real website has no influence on the future of the new site. It's all about how the new site is designed, promoted, and maintained.
