So I have gotten into keyword researching heavily and finding good key words that I should be able to capitalize on that only have 500,000 results on google search engines but atleast 20k searches a month. One of the blogs (the one in my sig is not one of the ones im talking about) is ready and I did quite a bit of SEO last night with directories and a few social bookmarking websites. How long does it usually take to get top page ranks ? I have gotten them before but I can't remember how long it took, can I not get ranked up to page 1 untill they have a PR update or what ? I was just wondering if I've at least done enough SEO to start or if I have to keep at it heavily for this one blog, because once it is rakned i'll make decent profit from it due to the current season and can start making more blogs of this sort.
anyone know if it is simply impossible to be ranked on the first page within the first days or if im just not doing enough ? I'm about to make a link wheel to help out so hopefully i'll work my way up soon...the topic has only 500k results to compete against and 2 sponsered results so it should be easy considering i've been ranked at #1 for searches with 30 million results.
i don't know how you are going to build your backlinks but but if you have good one way backlinks to your site it might get there sooner than later. What I mean is that one of my keywords with the same competition got to page 1 not PR rank within 40 days. Probably you have a better backlink strategy or have those high PR sites to get one way backlinks and if you have you might get there sooner. Thanks JulieV
thanks for the reply, yea sometimes I go a bit crazy with back links from articles and directories. That has paid off in the past so I guess i'll try to write a few articles on the subject and submit the blog to any directories I can. If I can get it ranked on page one within the next 2-3 weeks I could be looking at around 75k impressions in the first month to two months so that would be great.
Try to add more related content to your website and get more oneway links. Don't be in rush to get more links else you will be flagged, i can't say when you can come in first page but it is for sure if you do it smartly you will get there sooner or later.
