I don't think they pay you directly for searching. For google you can join adsense and put a search box in your blog or site. when others search and click the ads around the search or the sponsored links, you can earn money. There are also many paid to search sites there in which you can join and use their search box to do the search. They share an amount of their earnings which they earn from yahoo, google etc
Don't put only search box on your site. Use also the adsense. You can have big earnings in adsense ads than in search box.

i joined the program 6 months ago and was supposed to be paid in august and im still waiting and alot of others have not been paid for that month
