Getting Only Few Visitors from yahoo search engine compare to google.

    Hi Friends,
    I have a education niche website. I am getting 2500 visitors from google daily. but from yahoo + Bing i am getting only 30 visitors daily.

    I have submited my sitemaps in bing webmaster center. Can anybody suggest me is there anything i need to do for getting traffic from yahoo+bing.

    That's the bad side of using Yahoo, getting visitors to one's website is so difficult. You should also understand that your methods of driving traffic matters a lot too.

    I've actually found it easier to rank with Yahoo than Google. Basic SEO has helped me: Quality content that you update regularly, good keywords, and well placed backlinks.

    Quality content, backlinks from aged and powerful domains will get you some traffic yahoo/bing. Dont expect traffic like google though. 30 is low, you can target getting around 150.

    I hear allot of people saying that Yahoo is not worth the energy/focus - It is true that it is not the force it was in the late 90s and early 2000s, But Traffic is Traffic and remember traffic does not discriminate! If you can use the right tactics Yahoo can bring in just as much traffic in many cases much cheaper too !

    I have the opposite problem. One of my sites, ranks well in Yahoo/Bing but not in Google.

    Check your rankings there, if it's the ranking problem then you'll need to spend some time on Yahoo & Bing SEO. However, if you're getting nice ranking there then it may just mean most of your visitors are using Google.

    Market share from yahoo is only 10% I think So it's normal for get very low visitor compare to google. IMPO, Yahoo, bing have more conversion rate.

    Because mostly people used Google and it prefer to their own sites and if you want to get visitors through other engine so please registered on it and create a little bit marketing on it .....

    I know some folks who are using PPC to drive traffic to their site. So if you are looking for PAID method, you may want to try PPC with Yahoo and Bing

    In Yahoo some features matter for ranking and to have good traffic. For a site less than one year old, it's tough to get good ranking. Work your site with unique content and update regularly. It will give you a good ranking on yahoo.
