Hi everyone i have just set up a website for my Dog Grooming Business and i have not really got a clue what i am doing. At the moment i am on page 8 of Google and not on yahoo at all. I have tried keywords and Meta tags but im still on page 8 i really need to get my website near the 1st page as just now people dont realize i exist as no one looks on page 8. So all the other dog groomers who have their sites on page 1 are getting all the business. Im looking for any help or advice possible. Thanks
Look into creating a sitemap for your website. After you get the sutemap created, create a google webmaster tools account, bing webmaster tools account and yahoo site explorer account. Then submit the sitemap to the search engines.
This is typical with Google SERPs (search engine ranking positions), especially how you've noted that you just set this site up. Build some links, spend some time posting in forums & such, this should help the situation a little. It takes time so patience is key.
Hi thanks for the replies. I really haven't a clue what im doing i have to admit it. As its a dog grooming business i was told to put in for meta tags and keywords Dog Grooming, Groomers, Glasgow, Cats, Handstripping and Professional but i haven't been that sure that those are the right things to put?
