Anyone got any tips on generating non-home page links (i.e. deeper links to targeted pages)?

We do some things, but just link developement through forum postings and press releases (which are sometimes edited by editors). Anyone got some worthwhile techniques to share?

I'm guessing many just buy these links...

    All good ideas. Thanks.

I find most directories want you to pay for non home page links (though not all) or that they only do home page links.

A great resource would be list of directories who do offer non-home page links...

I guess blog link development with other bloggers would be a good technique.

Some of our sites have great content that others link to all the time. Others, not so much. These kinds of sites (i.e. boring client content) sites can be tough to get deep links to from any resource that is human edited....unless dollars are involved.

Any other ideas out there? Always hoping for the magic buller, never expecting to find it...

There are a large number of webmasters and directories that will link back to your internal pages if your content is worthwile (big if)

We only consider paying for links when:
    • the site allows multiple links for our client(s) with the overall price favorable to our needs (e.g. much less than often asked online), or
    • the price for each link is substantially lower than those often advertised.

When you consider your time involved in link building and then add additional cost to pay someone else, the overall price starts to get unrealistic IMHO.

If you perform a search for "free directories" on this forum, you will find a rather significant number of directories to obtain links from and some of the listings even specify which ones have what stipulations (e.g. home page only, require trade, etc.).

Yes, it takes a bit of time and research on your part. The question then is whether or not it is worth. Fortunately, some decide their time is more valuable which is when they hire a professional (someone like me  ) to do all of this for them.

    Good luck!

The deal mentioned in this thread will allow you to target up to 100 of your inner pages, each receiving approx. 1000 static links. The links are spread on five separate IPs.. and the package contains 70 PR5 pages and hundreds of PR4s etc.

This will serve your purpose and save you countless hours of hunting down directories and making submissions. Post a "PM me please" request in that thread for more info.
