I have a list of clients that I work with. However I want to build that list. Anyone know of sites where I can find people that are looking to hire someone to do work for them.

I do web design and development (includes logos, business cards, stationary etc etc)

Everyone here is chasing the very same thing. You will have to get creative.

    The slightly longer version. Referrals.

Let old clients know that you are happy for them to refer other people to you
Network - both online and offline so people know who you are, and what you do
Advertising - this is a subset of the above, with less interaction.
Portfolios - Be out there, via blogs, portfolio sites, writing tutorials etc. In short, anything to get your work seen by potential clients, and also for anyone considering working with you to easily see some of the work you have done. Rather than old clients referring you, this is more a case of your work referring you.

Find local web hosts and ask them to refer any of their clients to you that require design work.

You can ask you clients each week if they have any new jobs for you or not. That will bring more work and maybe bring more customers. Ask you clients to refer their friends.

Do some Advertize, make records, keep the effective ones, stop the non response ones.
