Hey all, I've been working on a website for a couple months now and finally just got it up and running last night. It's a customized Wordpress site with Google Adsense where I allow users to register and post content and I pay them for the amount of traffic their posts generate. I may eventually just offer the ability to just buy the posts from users instead. The site is very new and lacking content. So far have used up $50 of Facebook Credits and $60 of Google Adwords credits are on the way now, as well as sharing with friends on Facebook. So far today have only had 5 signups and 1 post that I didn't publish. Was interested in seeing if you guys have any feedback regarding the site or suggestions for improvement or something that doesn't make sense. Also wondering if you guys have any tips for me to get the site out there aside from the Paid Advertising stuff. Hope I have the right section. Hello, what I've found worked great for me is to also offer a referral system. In my case if someone refers someone, then he gets adsense sharing on all posts from his referral.
Thanks Guys Yeah I do have a Referral Program setup already. Maybe I shouuld be putting that in my Google Adwords ads too. Currently I`m offering $.50 per referral. Is that reasonable? or what did you mean by sharing the revenue accross all posts?

No, $.5 is not enough. What I offer my referrers is to put their adsense on their referrals's posts "for life". As you may know, we can put several adsense id per page, as long as the total of adsense blocs is maximum 3. So if someone has no referrer, on their post I have two adsense blocs for me, one for them. If someone has a referrer, one adsense bloc is for me, one for them and one for the referrer. So members have a high motivation to recruit new members for my site, because their adsense id will be displayed on many many pages if they can get many referrals. That's what is working for me, that way there are many good articles about my sites, just because their author can get good returns on their most active referrals. I don't pay them anything immediatly, but I'm trading one of my two adsense blocs in exchange of a new member, so it pays way more than $.5 or even $100 over time. PS: about my best-reviewer.com site: it's still quite new, I've launched it on 5th october 2010. It gets several thousand unique visitors per day, but I'm sending a lot from my other, older site shetoldme.com - best-reviewer still has no pagerank while shetoldme has PR5. I hope soon best reviewer will surpass shetoldme in terms of traffic, but it's far from being the case right now. Stats are publicly available, look at the square black button at bottom of sites.
Thanks a lot JamesColin! Very inspiring stuff Offering users to post their own Adsense is brilliant! I'll have to look into that maybe. I thought about it in the past but thought it would be against Google's Terms Of Service or cause some type of conflict with mine. So if someone refers 100 people, they get Adsense placement on ALL of their posts? That would be intense! So do you offer any cash amount at all for referrals or posts? Or just the revenue they get from their own Adsense accounts? Maybe having a $.50 referral credit as well as the ability for users to use Adsense will be good. Awesome jobs with the site! Still hoping I can get this site going soon. Although I'll be patience since I just started it yesterday
