    Hi there!

I'm a longtime internet junkie; ever since I first started working for an international internet provider back in '97, I've wanted to be my own boss and use my creativity to make something useful and profitable.

I've already gotten my feet wet by purchasing a domain and an information bundle here in the forums. The site has a very friendly, intelligent, and busy atmosphere, and I like that.

Welcome to the forums. What type of site are you putting together?

    Good luck!

Sorry I didn't reply to the questions asked in this thread; I moved on the 6th and have been very busy getting the new house in shape, not to mention waiting for broadband!

I have ideas for lots of different sites, and I have the technical skills (Linux, HTML, CSS, PHP, Perl, etc) and creative skills (Photoshop, copy writing) to do everything from A to Z; my cousin has a dedicated server for a PR4 game-related site, and I use that as my playground.

I purchased jim8.com (my first name is Jim :) ) for fun, and my cousin has a lot of parked domains that aren't making him any money, so I'm going to set up some kind of landing page(s) for him.

The package I purchased was in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=343445 but to be honest, I haven't had a chance to read through it yet.

    Thanks for the welcomes :)
