    Hi Guys,

    I received a couple suggestions from seo experts. It seems that MSN has made quite a few modifications for getting sites index high and eliminating them from their index in case they have errors on code.

    I am a victim of that:eek: ...

    I got few suggestions, now I need to know what the guy refered as to this answer:

    your page needs a doc type etc. SEs are paying more attention to errors,
    go to: http://validator.w3.org/

    A Doc Type?

    This technical stuff is not my area. Anyone here can assist?

    Regards,
    Jonathan

    Jonathan;

    I personally don't hold much stock in the concept of "you have to validate your code or the search engine's gonna dump you...

    I can find a lot of poorly coded sites on the top of many SE's and find a lot of validated folks at the bottom of the heap.

    Just one guy's opinion

    Your opinion is correct. Code that doesn't validate won't keep you out of the search engines or hurt your rankings. Serious errors may cause indexing problems (and they have to be a serious error to do that) but that's about it.

    You should make your code valid and error free to make it easier to maintain and also be reasonably sure it renders properly across user agents.
