Share your article permalink to your social networks like twitter, facebook, google plus, stumbleupon and reddit. Then certainly you have some unique view by your friends and followers.

You can get traffic to your articles by promoting them. This can be done through social networking and social bookmarking websites. Bookmark your article in as many bookmarking websites as possible and you will surely get more traffic to your website.

In this case, using social networks to share your article links isn't such a bad idea and also social bookmarking is good for promotion.

At the end of each of your articles ask people if they would like to follow you on Twitter or Friend you on Facebook. Then every time you publish something send all your followers a tweet. That way you will get a few hundred views every time you publish something.

Definitely share your articles on social media sites. If you have close friends and family on your social media accounts, you can write articles about things that are relevant to your life/area and then share them in your status updates. They'll be more interested in reading your articles if they think they're related to you.

You can also promote your articles the same way you would in order to garner pageviews for a website. Post links to your articles in relevant forum posts and blog comments. If someone has just read one article on a topic, they might be interested in reading yours as well.

If the site you're posting through offers the ability to "friend" other members of that site, try that as well. Find people who post articles on the same topics you do, so that you have shared interests, then see if they read yours.

I don't know if you don't mind sharing, but what kind of money are you making currently? It sounds like you might be getting slightly scammed. The is a win-win for the website owner, but you are taking all the risk with your time and effort, which it shouldn't be that way. As a content writer myself, I've found that such deals normally aren't worth the time or effort. I'm not knocking your gig, but just noting that you might be able to make more money by simply setting a price for your time and content and having it paid upfront regardless of how that content is used or how many visitors will see it.

How many visitors see it is largely dependent on the website owner, so essentially you are doing far more work than is necessary as a content writer.

I can see how the articles are used..

I doesn't matter because even if I was getting a lower price it is most likely more then I would make on my own blog because it would need SEO and a bunch of other stuff this is just to make a little money

If you really want to get more traffic to your articles then you should share or promote your link just like what carter.dorothy said. Also, that's the only think I know on promoting your site or your article to get more traffic.

I only use article marketing to point to my main site and not the other way. so I use the articles for seo and just blog away and leave a long tail anchors to the article. stumbleupon and google plus 1 also help

I use the same link building methods for articles as I do for my websites - social bookmarks, directories, high PR blogs, etc.

If you do some keyword research on the words that will generate traffic, then you target articles based on those keywords

Social bookmark your article url via addthis or any such tool... submit it to the as many bookmarks site possible (choose the popular services). Also try linkreferral, it is a free referral service which will send you the loyal and relevant traffic to your site along with a review and rating to your website..

Ping the submissions after they have been submitted and place your article feeds into RSS feed directories. I'm not a social person so that's how I get traffic to my articles without spending a ton of money. :) Hope this help!
