I've noticed that I get more google searches if I create new posts every day rather than updating the exisiting posts with new contents. Can someone else confirm that? Thanks!
Yes this makes sense. When you add a whole new post you are targeting a whole new set of keywords. Updating an existing post likely wouldn't add new keywords. Google also likes new/fresh content. By adding another page to your website/blog you are also creating another set of internal links for your other pages. So it is a very good idea to consistently add new content. Of course you should also try to keep adding more backlinks too.
Actually Google loves fresh & new contents , its alive your site in the Google's eye.new content give another internal link to your domain & increase credibility for users & search engines
Lately I've been updating some of my older pages that weren't doing well in the search engines. At first google ignored them but after I gave them some link juice (getting backlinks from high ranking forums and blogs and articles directories) they are all performing much better. So if you have a "dead" page that's older you can increase its power over time, it just takes work. Dan
