Getting more domains = better?

    Hello,

    I run and own this site: http://voipcallsforfreeworldwide.blogspot.com

    I get good traffic and conversions and earn a good money but I want to expand. i am good at seo, no expert but i know the ins and outs.

    I was wondering if I were to buy about 5 domains with good keywords such as voipphonecalls.info for example, and get this indexed by google and bookmarked by sites plus get about 50 backlinks for it, and these extra domains will all redirect to my blog above.

    Will this help me get more traffic? is this a good idea? do you have any other suggestions?

    Also please dont suggest that I change blogspot to a more professional domain, cause thats not going to happen.

    Why don't you just build backlinks directly to the blogspot blog? Btw, how much are you making?

    Exactly my thought. Why buy and promote domains that are only going to be redirected! your probably better off just promoting the domain you already have.

    Thanks for the replies. I do get backlinks for my main site, i just thought if i get good keywords it would be shown on google more, just an alternative to getting backlinks. I guess its better just to build my primary site, thanks for the info.

    I dont want to disclose how much I make, sorry

    I have read that search engines can penalise you for having multiple domains pointed at the same website. Might be worth finding out more on this before potentially harming your income revenue :)

    Again I stress its only something I read and do not have first hand experience of this.
