Getting mod rewrite to work wordpress

    Hello I am trying to figure out how to make the mod rewrite work on wordpress. I know I am able to do this because all my other sites do this. Yet I dont know how to create the .htaccess file lol can anyone help me out I read on there website but I dont really understand what its saying.

    do you have cPanel?

    just create an empty .htaccess file on the web server, make sure it's 777 permissions

    Wordpress will write it for you

    you can create a .htaccess file by opening a new .txt document and saving it as .htaccess, or you can upload a file called htacces.txt via ftp and use your ftp program to re-name the file.

    Nice I got it to work i just didnt put the .htaccess file to writeable stupid me thanks!
