This is my first website and blog. I set them up about a month ago. MSN searches have sent a person that filled out my "sell your house" form 2 days in a row. Sorry, this is probably happens to you guys about every other minute, but this is a first to me and has got me really stoked. Now if only google would do the same!
What do you consider a 'new site'? I am been ranking great in msn for awhile now and everytime I here the comments about msn and new sites, I wonder if one day I am just going to fall of the charts. My site is a few years old, but I only spent time promoting it and doing seo work this part 3 months or so. So, would I still be considered a new site to msn even though I was first indexed a few years ago? hope this makes some sense.

Seems like a dilemma, eh? If all new sites rank well in MSN, does that mean old sites rank poorly? No-- what is actually happening is MSN is a sucker for some basic SEO work. If you have a decent page structure and get a few links in with the right anchor text, you will rank well in MSN. Since most webmasters don't even do those most basic things and wait for links to come in naturally, it is fairly easy for anyone to rank in MSN with a little effort.
Correct, MSN indexes and ranks websites very fast. Google is doing it step by step. But still this is only for the beginning, after a few weeks, a month max, I start getting 10x more visitors from Google. I own three blogs, two getting 10x more traffic from Google, one 50/50.
Thanks for the info guys. by the way, why are my posts always showing up twice? I only hit the submit button once.?
Blogs do very well on Google, in fact better than on MSN. My mortgage and investment blogs started getting a lot of traffic from Google after one month. My celebrity blog gets 50% from MSN, 50% from Google. Google always loves my sites. I have 30, all doing fine with Google Dont ask me why, cause am no SEO expert, i just focus on content.
MSN is WAY better in all cases! More accurate search results, not as much spam sites, better ranking results for my sites, easier to get listed and now a better site at live.com... Thanks God for MSN! Without it we would never get any visitors the first year, if ever!!
MSN and Yahoo are much easier to get listed on, but even for my lowest ranking pages on google, I get a tremendous amount of traffic which exceeds the other SE
