Hello I started a local news site for the town I live in Kalamazoo News and I'm hoping to get it included in Google News. Can you give me some suggestions on content issues before i try and get approved.
you can submit your site content to google news: http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=40787
I know, but I want to make sure I'm accepted so I'm asking for a peer review before submitting to google. I want to increase my chances.
You should have created some series of news up before applying for Google news. Your website should have multiple authors and working RSS as well
You need to have: - Unique content - Good established site (your has PR0) - Multiple authors - At least four unique digits on in the URL of each article (e.g. http://www.kalamazoo-mi.info/news/2011-03/accident-oliver-and-oakland/1234/)
If you'd like your news site or blog to be included in Google News, please send us the URL and we'll be happy to review it. Please note, however, that we can't guarantee we'll be able to include your site in Google News.
You need at least 3 different authors (the more the better), a contact form, privacy policy. Also, you should have at least 150 posts before you apply. If your site/domain is new, I'd wait at least a few months before submitting the site to gnews. You should try to post at least one article daily in proper english, grammar, spelling etc.
