I have always done good in search engine rankings but can't seem to get it right with my myspace site. I want http://myspacegateway.com listed high for "myspace graphics" since that gets the most searches. any suggestions? should i get people linking me as "myspace graphics" instead of "myspace gateway" ?
Here is what I would do: - change your title tag to something like Myspace Graphics | Myspace Tutorials | Myspace "whatever" so that there are a few keywords targetted in the title tag rather than adding words that aren't important (eg. MySpace Gateway) - alter the meta description so that it isn't stuffed with keywords (eg "myspace graphics and tutorials available blah blah blah") - attract links to the site using "myspace grahics" as the link text if this is the keyword phrase you wish to target Just a couple of basic things that I would do. Out of interest what script is that site running?
How about for my subpages... how can I get http://myspacegateway.com/graphics.html listed for MySpace Graphics for example? or should i just worry about index?
Do virtually exactly the same for your inner pages as you would for your index. - Optimize the page for "MySpace Graphics" by using the most important keywords at the beginning of your title tag. - Use the link to the page as Myspace Graphics whenever you promote the page when article marketing or any other promotion. Nice looking site by the way. I have a Myspace site that I put up about 3 weeks ago and it's already constantly attracting 2000 visitors a day (approx 1400 uniques per day) from targetting less competitive keyphrases, and i haven't done much promotion. My point being, make sure you target keywords that you are confident about gaining a high spot in search engines for, rather/aswell as targetting keywords/keyphrases that have high competition. For instance also think about targetting "myspace graphic codes" aswell for the http://myspacegateway.com/graphics.html page for instance. So your page title might be "Myspace Graphics | Myspace Graphic Codes" and the description might be something like "Myspace Graphics and codes available for free for..." Then do the same for "http://myspacegateway.com/games.html" etc.
