getting links indexed quickly

    Hi,

Whats the best way to get links indexed quickly. I took over a new site with 1000 pages, and then added a blogroll sitewide link to my clients site. A week later, and Yahoo explorer still hasn't recognised that the links exist.

I submitted the site with 1000 pages to c. 30 different social bookmarking sites, thinking that would guarantee that the links would be seen and indexed, but nothing.

Any tips? How long does it typically take for links to become visible on yahoo explorer?

    Thanks

To get links indexed faster, create a master RSS feed of all of them (one RSS feed per niche preferrable, not to mix too many different things on one), and submit it to RSS directories. There are several master RSS feed generators available online, you can try freerssfeedgenerators.com

But keep in mind that no matter what Yahoo or Google is showing as the number of backlinks, this is NOT what they actually see. None of the tools or search engines will show the real number of backlinks.

The content where you place your links should be correct and error less. The Keyword you using for the link is must be highlighted.
And the most important thing is don't do spamming or post same content in many sites. Using this your links will must be indexed faster.

My foolproof method for getting indexed in 24 hours:

Use Onlywire.com to submit to the top social bookmarking platforms.

It never fails, do it with all of my new sites and they are always indexed by the next day.

    <edit>

Saw that you meant your links. Usually I just wait, they will show up naturally over time as the pages are crawled, a better use of your time is to just keep pumping out links. but if you want to get your links indexed faster then consider pinging the pages after you place a link.

First, submit sitemap, then submit RSS feed. After that, get some high PR quality backlink
You will get indexed fast after all the above done

You could ping the URL with pingomatic to help search engines find the page where you placed your backlinks.

But ultimately it's up to search engines. They just find them on their own. There is no set time for the search engines to discover your backlinks and they do not always show all of your backlinks. The search engines take time to index the net and they don't report all your backlinks. Yahoo gives the most results but most of your backlinks in Google usually doesn't show.

You could use the "Backlinks to site" feature of Traffic Travis to check your backlinks from Google and other search engines.

Or you can type this on Google to see your backlinks:

    links:yourdomain.com

Submit them to social bookmarking sites.

Alternatively, if you want to go the grey hat route you can use Scrapebox to "backlink" your backlinks. This is a pretty common tactic.
