Hello, When I moved to a new server, I got less traffic. The new server is faster in speed but why I got less traffice. Some keywords are not indexed on Google as high as before. Does anyone know the reason? Thanks.
As ForgottenCreature said - how long was your site down for (if at all) during your move. Also, is your server located somewhere else (geographically) or is it in the same IP range? Are you sure the migration happened correctly? Did any of your links change or are any pages missing? Is the server giving the correct header responses back for it's pages - is it configured correctly? Finally - is it only your natural search traffic that is lower or is it other channels too? There are lots of things that could affect your rankings or general traffic patterns, so we probably need more information to help.
It happened 2 weeks ago and there were about 30 mintues downtime. I am talking about this week, traffic is going down.
30 minutes won't have caused a problem. So you probably need to worry about the other factors - I listed. Such as is your new server in a new location, etc?
