Hello DP! I have a news website and have want to include it into Google News. The website is about 3 months old and has of now had over 100.000 visitors. My submission to Google News got rejected, I have been working a lot onto getting all the required things Google needs in order to put you into Google News, but i had some questions i have been unable to find proper answer on the web to: A) Does your link need to include unique numbers even if you submit a Google News Sitemap (some people have told me that if you submit sitemap, you don't need unique digits in your URL but when i look at Google News, most websites do have unique numbers.) B) Whats is the minimum amount of posts necessary a day? if there is any.. C) In the News category i have there are currently some articles while Google clearly says they want only News posts, will Google reject me if there are articles already in the category? or they just don't want any articles after they've included me into Google News? D) Google says it can't recognize any iFrames, i use iFrames to embed my videos because of the responsiveness for my mobile version, will Google reject me for using iFrames or will it just not show them? Please help, and if you know any other guidelines you think i might have missed, please feel free to share them!
First of all: Google News requires websites ran by organization, not by an individual. Also the website must have legitimacy, and have clear physical address along with author contact details. If you fail in any of the above, Google will not approve.
@Densely is right, you need to have a website that looks like it has a team of authors, the design has to look like a multi authored website updating multiple times a day. Only news related stuff has to be there, they don't approve How-to guides.
Ok have tried in past to get in to google news . Things they more look in to are authors (along their pictures and contact ), regular updates and purely newes . They will not prove if your website is filled with ads & affiliate links . So as said above these things you need to look at before apply . But to be honest google is gone a bit ***k now days so success rate is very low even though you are within guidelines.
Today content is the king a well as they need originality to get accepted in Google news. If you have original content which is not yet posted on other news sites you have better chances to get published in Google News.
If you go over to a few other similar sites and look for a guy call Joe Hughes, he has a paid submission for google news
" I got my website accepted after many attempts. No one knows Google's standards" Google news tells you exactly what there standards are for submissions and acceptance
