    Hello all,

I have a Basic Hosting Plan with Hostgator for my website http://www.iwebie.com

The reason I am with Hostgator: I got several CPU Exceeded Errors Problems and thereby Switched from Bluehost to Hostgator.

Now I get Probelms with Hostgator too. Several Internal Server Errors with Hostgator whenever I get High Traffic. That is Frustrating man. I raised a Ticket on this issue and this is what they had to say.

The site should load, but 500 errors will likely be intermittent until traffic either slows down or you upgrade to a dedicated plan (even resellers cannot bypass this process restriction).

Cummon! man who makes a site without expecting High Traffic at times. Tell me what should I do?

    Regards,
    Hemanth

Make sure you have no invalid line in your .htaccess. Also check the error logs form your cpanel, it will give you some more information for this error.

I really don't know the technicalities behind the exact parameters I need in the .htaccess for Hosting. Its just that once in a week, I get a SURGE of traffic when I cover some Live Events Description Updation and that results in Internal Server Errors during the Surge. Where I supposed to get around 10000 - 15000 visitors on that day, I get the problem. That's really too bad. I thought Hostgator was reliable.

I checked that GoDaddy offers a Dedicated Plan. Even the Economy Plan is as high as $79.99/mo. Do you think its good. Are there better and cheaper Alternatives to the Economy plan of Godaddy?

And will the New Host setup the site for me, as in transfer the Site from Hostgator to the new Host.

Because in my previous transfer from Bluehost to Hostgator, the Hostgator support took care of the Whole transfer. I did not have to do anything.

So need some help here in choosing a Good Dedicated Host with Initial Setup Support
