    Submit the site to google, add a load of content. Install webmaster tools on your site or blog.Verify the site. You will will get indexed pretty quickly. I use a twist on that to get indexed in hours.

    For me, digg has been the best way to submit sites. Also, make sure to use ShareThis button. It really helps for posting to social networking sites.

    A signature in a big forum will do the same.

    Congratullations, now the problem is to get good rank on search results. That is more complicated than being indexed in 24 hrs ;)
