Why is it that my Wordpress site only has the /tag indexed? For example my dummy website www.mydummywebsite.com/tag/.... that has anything indexed. I have other content such as www.mydummywebsite.com/category1/.. and www.mydummywebsite.com/category2/.. Thanks.
Maybe you have it set so that your categories aren't indexed. You should be trying not to have your tag and category pages indexed and apply nofollow to these links. Indexing these can cause duplicate content and there is no point in wasting PR juice on these pages. Now, if you're talking about your posts getting indexed, I'd suggest pinging your blog on pingninja or pingler after every post you make.
well it take some time before google crawl every pages that you got. I suggest that you continue to build backlinks to your site or blog so that you can increase your chance to get index by google
I'm using xml-sitemap generator plugin. And according to the setting, i'm not NOT including tag pages. Just the default home page, posts, categories and static pages. So why is it just indexing the tag pages then? Second ? also, why do you say not to have it index the categories page?
How old is the blog? How good are the links? Is none of the post indexed? Check site structure, sitemap and build backlinks.
the blog is about 3 weeks old. when I do a site:mydummywebsite.com on google.com, all i see is the cached information of mydummywebsite.com/tag/.. and nothing else.
