Hi, How long should you wait after you get inbound links to see the results in google? Should you wait for a month/2 months/ 3 months to evaluate the effect of your links
depends on how many links you had to start with. if you had lots of BL's already, a few more could put you over the top pretty quickly. if you had none, it'll take a little longer.
Google is able to qualify an inbound link almost immeadiately, that is, as soon as it detects the link pointing back to you. However, there's 100+ factors that google need to take into account before giving you a boost or fall in the serps so this can take a few days or weeks, depending on the "quality" of your site and "quality" of that of your competitors.
Links are complicated...I find it hard to get peopel to just 'link' to you..ofen the linking is done reciprocally
Thanks so much gang, Lorien - My url is a year old and I am a PR4 currently, I already have over 1000 BL read by google. I have ventured on some sitewide links recently from quality pr4/pr5 sites ( thousands of links ). That was about 2 weeks ago. Wanted to know how long would it take to see effect if any. Thanks
One of the things you might notice almost immediately are references to the links themselves. For instance I publish articles for backlinks, and my author profiles often show high on SERPS.
I find that links coming from directories are not as important as reciprocal links with related sites... anyone experience the same?
