Getting in the Google Directory and getting out of the Sandbox?

Discussion in 'Directories' started by stephenmunday, Apr 25, 2005.

I have no proof either way on this one, but I was wondering whether sites that get updated into the Google Directory are more likely to exit the sandbox. The logic being that if it is good enough for the directory (which is human-edited), it should be good enough for the SERPs.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm in DMOZ but not showing in the G directory.... and I was kinda hoping I could get out of the Sandbox jaill soon.

Just wishful thinking I guess if no one else has seen it.

Yeh its just a patience game. I dont think there is any way (if there is its a closely guarded secret) to escaping the sandbox. I have a site which is approaching 6 months pretty soon so Im eager to see what happens with traffic levels.

By the time DMOZ shift a gear and accept/reject your site and google updates its directory the chances are you will have a tonne of more usefull backlinks and might even already be out the sandbox
