Getting image banners going

I just got my feet wet with Adwords a couple of days ago and I've been doing so-so with text ads. I've tried to be really specific when selecting keywords and bidding low untill it tells me I'm a cheap bastard (in a nice way of course) then I bump the bid up.

However after a couple of days, and a few thousand impressions/clicks, I still haven't had either of my two banner images displayed even once.

One is a 728x90 and the other is a 200x200.

Is there anything I should know about image ads ?

They have to be reviewed before being shown and it typically takes 2 or 3 days.

    That makes sense.

Well I guess deleting them from one group and adding them ot an image only group so I could bump the CPC up for images only was a bad idea.

I have had image ads take up to 7 days to get approved.

Just be patient, google will get around to it

I don't mind waiting for approval, it's just nice to know that's what's going on. :D

Well the image was disapproved for reason "Mobile content".
I checked out the guidelines, and the only thing I can guess is that they looked at the site before I added the buy now button and price at the top of the site making them the first things that will be read on the page.

The ad itself I thought was pretty clear about the pricing, I resubmitted that and another one now that the pricing is "promenant", we'll see what happens..

Aye, I've got an account in approval right now waiting on 5,000 image ads to be approved. It's only been 4 days. (The same 5 ads in 1,000 different adgroups) it takes bloody forever. Google sure does take there sweet time.

They seem to get to rechecking denied ads quicker than doing the initial check.

I think they have a queue and not everyone is absolutely sure on some of the borderline ones, so they end up sending the image to the end of the line a few times before someone realizes they've seen it before and just flips a coin.
