Getting Good traffic from MSN?

Well , One of my web directory may have the chance to go to first page for KW "web directory " in some days I think .


But base on my past experience , MSN brings really low traffic (I have two web sites rank in top 3 of msn )....

Any one here get the traffic from MSN ? I keep wondering about this ~

 

I always rank better in MSN, but the traffic is always a lot lower than google. Less than 10% of my google traffic.

I am getting much good traffic for one of my website from MSN. this search engines is always giving cool results to me.

There is traffic there on MSN ... but you really need to research your target market first using some of the tools out there ... such as the Overture search suggestion tool or the user demographics available for advertisers on the MSN portal.

Yeah I get a reasonable amount of traffic from MSN 10% out of 10,000 uniques a month.

We do rank well in all search engines

750+ pages of One of my websites (startedec '05) is in the MSN index.
0 pages in the google index.
The visitors are very few from msn though.

 

I think one of the key issue is I can noe find tools like overture kw suggestion kit to tell me what is the kw that people search on MSN the most .

Any one here can give me some commend or ideal where to find those tools ?

I get about a third of my search traffic from msn. I've always found bigger site do much better in MSN

 

3k to 10k uniques per day... not complaining.

 

According to research by Hitwise there's a definite age bias to MSN. Teenagers score well. Middle aged business people score badly. If you're selling mobile phones or ringtones go for MSN.

 

I've got one website pulling 9k a month from MSN and another 6k. MSN can bring traffic, especially for new websites. The key is on page SEO.

That chart acually shows that MSN is losing Trafic from month to month in 2005. Very interesting if you ask me. I think its about time old billyboy reaches into those deep pockets and regains some market share in Online Search.

 

Right now the only thing I see msn do is promise stuff and then take it back (e.g. their "we will outdo Google in 6 months" stunt). Their advertising campaign is inconsistent and there is no focus on increasing quality. From what I've experienced, having the same keyterms ranked at the same spot in msn and Google ... Google provides about 20-30 times the traffic.

 

Well that depands what KW you have .right ?MSN does not provide some tools like Overture and Adwords to show you which KW is popular .So we can not find which KW to target with .

 

Neither of those sites rank strong for any major keyword. Just a bunch of descent one's.

 

MSN brings a decent number of traffic to one of my site. MSN loves new products always after few months you loose your traffic
