I know of people who have had private funding from individuals or businesses, and I'm curious to know how many people have done this for their websites. The only issue with me knowing how to get that sort of thing is that it was offered to them, they didn't go out and seek it. How many of you have had funding of this sort, and how did you go about getting it?
i havent recieved any but people usually go to businesses which are secondarily related to their idea, and ask them if they would be interested in funding for this concept of their, if they like it, they they just got it, but if not they keep trying at other places, ~just gotta be creative are you looking to get prv.funding on something? what is it?
i have never tried, though i would do that in future coz you need to show complete presentation and your plans to someone who is giving funds to you project reports etc..
I am working on a seduction website that will be offering something that no other website of it's kind is offering. I'd rather not post it in the forum publicly though. I have had experience where I had a great idea, then a larger company with much more funding than I learned about it and used that idea and took it much farther than I could have at that moment. I'll PM those who have asked.
Depends on your business paln with your web site. It's not very often that Funding (or VC) comes on it's own. You need to go out and look for them. Try contacting companies who have business interestes related to your site theme or business model.
I will assume that companies that would be considered competitors are usually out of the request list?
i would think so too, but i think going out and look is the only way to get funding unless you believe in the website enough to front all the money.
most important thing is how much revenue its gona generate annually if u can prove and show huge revenue & growth potential you have your investors give you as much funds you want
i am a great thinker'[not boasting abt myself], just would like to tell you that try top be creative and think outside the |box| [btw, seduction is an art.... im am the master in it ] i like great ideas, and i like people who are just like me, i would venture on a worthy quest.....
Often, when the website is already big and has great potential, you get VC firms getting interested. For example, YouTube received a lot of funding, but only after getting a big userbase and the potential was evident.
