Getting frustrated at high ctr and NO conversions

    Hi guys

I own a local company that provides services for about eight counties and have been using adwords to drive traffic to my site for a few years now. But in the past few months I have seen my ctr stay the same but my conversions are in the toilet. I have tried adding new more targeted keywords as well as laning pages. I even hired a copy writer and to no avail. This is my main business and I need to get things right.
    Any help would be great.

My web address is www.southlanddogtraining.com we service west central Florida

    Thanks

I just spoke to the girl who sets up our sales appointments for us and she said that the biggest objection has been cost. We offer a premium in home service so our prices higher than say a class. We will be working with her on handling objections but I still need to get my conversions up again.
    I hope that helps

This is the common problem when your sponsored ad promises not what you exactly offer and / or you use irrelevant keywords. Try to make up more precise and relevant title and description and carefully select you keywords. (Don't forget about negative keywords and consider using exact match only).
I usually make a number of very different ad groups and test my variations.

I also suggest you to work on your web site. It can be more visually engaging. The main idea of your business is very clear but the nature of your commercial offer is not.

i'm more mad at keyword bids rising for those highly converting niches than anything else....people are just now deciding they want to jump on the affiliate band wagon.

You only have about 6 seconds maximum to get the visitor's attention. Use a headline that is relevant and offers the visitor some value.

Also depending on what keywords your bidding on, I would great different versions of this landing page and use different headlines. Make one landing page for common dog training problems, make another for dog training information, hell make a landing page for different dog breeds.

Relevancy, keyword selection and your ability to effectively sell your product is the secret to PPC. Good Luck.

Did you limited campaign to those 8 counties? Or your ad is shown in whole US.

I envy you, because Google is infatuated with advertisers like you (local company providing actual products or services, etc.), rather than us evil affiliates trying to hock someone else's products. So, if you can't make a go of it, who else can? I'll be watching this thread to see what kind of suggestions people have.

My two cents: I don't see anything that can be construed as an actual "landing page." You've got a conventional website, and you direct traffic to one of those pages. But you do need to construct a completely new page that is designed just for people "landing" on it from AdWords.

    Best of luck.

For your dog site, there are some important things to consider...

First, the quality score will impact the price per click you pay in a big way, so be sure to look at your qs scores for each keyword, and get your qs score as high as possible. a page generator like lpgen may help you create unique pages with high qs's, that keep your costs low.

next point is, go lateral with the keywords...think of other things people buy, who might want to get your product. i don't want to do your work for you, but there are many 5 cent clicks waiting for you, if you know what to do.

Please don't get me wrong as far as our success with Adwords we usually get about 80% of our business from ppc with an average cost of under $20 per sale. I am just trying to get us past this economic mess and make thing better along the way. Our business has been very unstable since all of this started. Most of our business comes from just two keyword phrases like "dog training" or Dog trainers" but I do have landing pages that I have tried for specific keywords. Here are some samples and please if they suck please tell me. This is my livelihood so I won't be offended.
    Thanks for all the help.

I think You r using same area target in adwords. So already who visited your site , visit the ads again and again. Thats why no conversion. Make target to nearest cities also...
