Thank you for your help on my first problem.. This isn't really a problem, just a question. How do you make sure that Google indexes forum topics? Is it enough to show the index.php link, or do I need to link to other files as well? (I'm using phpBB3, BTW) Derek Tombrello www.RobotsAndComputers.com
Hire a SEO Expert. And I would like you to use a SEO mod for phpBB3. so that each and every board/thread will end with a .html extension. Rather than stupid numerics. This will help your boards/topics look like an individual page!!
You can create an XML sitemaps of your forum just like any other website. You can use a sitemapper program such as A1 Sitemap Generator or try find a phpBB3 plugin that does it for you. Also try search Google / phpBB3 help-forum for more SEO information, e.g. getting "clean" keyword URLs for threads is an advantage in ranking.
I appreciate all of your replies - I'll try A1 and I will see what is available as phpBB3 plugins and addons. As for hiring an SEO expert, if any of you have seen my site, you will agree that I am no where near that point yet. Derek Tombrello
