Getting Facebook fans without paid advertising

I'm finding it very difficult to get fans on my Facebook page. People will like, comment and share posts when I pay for ads, but I seem to get very few likes.

I have a Twitter account with over 500 followers and sometimes I post the link there asking them to like it, but I don't really see any results.

Some friends have also invited all their friends and shared it on their profiles, but still there's not the increase in fans that I would expect.

Anyone got any good tips for getting likes? I want to build up the likes so that I can get traffic to my site without having to pay for advertising all the time.

 

Do you use any "call to actions"? Call to actions see a 40% increase in activity over typical facebook posts.

Are you posting questions related to your niche to the post daily that force people to answer?

Are you being controversial enough in your approach and are you making sure you post at the best times which is usually in the mornings and evenings.

If you just a wordpress blog, you might wanna try adding a plugin to which users will be prompted with a popup and they can view your page after after liking the like button on the pop. Can't remember the name of the plugin but I've used it once to get about 30 likes a day. Maybe giving away coupon codes on your blog and then present your blog to people who might be interested, they'd click your like button so they can see the coupon code.

It depends on your niche, you need to post some interesting shit, not just a link to your site or some funny images that already be shared everywhere.

 

But how can i chose the audience???

 

Try check out JonLoomer site, you need to learn a lot of thing before running fb ads. To choose audience, you have to target some good keyword, interest and a lot of thing. That's all depends on what's your niche, and what type of audience should like your content/page.

 

What would you consider to be 'interesting shit'?

 

Let say for example your page is in travel niche. Instead of posting link to your article, try posting some cool videos of scenery or awesome place that not much people know. In my experience, videos tends to get more shares and views. So put in the description something like "Like "yourpage" for more cool videos". After few hours of posting that video, post a link to your site. I'm sure the traffic will increase.

One more thing, for using facebook ads, try read some guide on how to optimize the campaign, you could spend much more less and get more likes and reach.

Yes I'm sure there are some sellers here in Marketplace. One thing about FB coupons, you need to provide CC info to use it on FB, and some people experiencing getting banned when using the coupons. I wouldn't recommend of using it.

No VCC wont work. You have to ask your bank for CC replacement if FB ads banned your ads account.

No you still need CC info to do FB ads.

You can invite your friends to like your fan page. Make sure that you posts interesting contents.
