    Just out of curiosity, how did you find out if the blogs had no follow links? Did you check the source or use some other method that I am unaware of.

    there is an add on for Firefox that allows for a # of good SEO features one of which is no-follow.

    The nofollow tag is critically flawed for blogs.

    Having that tags does not stop or even slow down spammers. they hope someone will click on the link and go to their site.

    The only thing that stops spammers if good moderation (although there is some good plugins that help a lot.

    If a person really cares about thier blog they are not going to let a spammy comment stay on it, they will delete the comment. So what is the point of nofollow?

    Personally, anything that I would want to put no follow on will not stay on my blog for me to bother having the nofollow added to it. If it's spam I delete it. If it's not spam why not let the link get followed.

    I would rather practice "nospam" on my blog then to try to hide the spam from the search engines with "nofollow"!
