I know I shouldn't but I am starting to get discouraged. The site is only 2-3 months old. But I have been creating original content at least every other day, posting in a few relevant forums with anchor text everyday, posting to 4-5 related blogs with anchor text everyday, have cleaned up my on-site SEO, submit an article or two a week to article directories with the targeted keywords... My niche is overall I'd say low-medium competition, with the "best" keyword only medium competition. It is is niche that can be "had" but I just can't seem to break out. I promote 1 highly related product using clickbank and in these 3 months have made only 2 sales... What else can I do?
As a offline (and online) marketer, I would have thought that your BJJ website is pretty niche. In terms of online, do you sell much through ebay and other similar channels? In terms of offline, have you thought of offering commission to those running Jiu Jitsu schools in your country if they promote your site to their members? This could be accomplished by emailing a brochure from them to display. One thing I would say if that your site didn't immediately capture my imagination - maybe you should consider using a youtube video/facebook site on the home page so people can see some action from embedded video.
mate you should really try hiring some pros. I am using clickbank , 4 sites, fitness and weighloss products and so far I have a net $14k/month in sales. But all my SEO backlinking and stuff is done manually by a high profiled team I found on google while looking for online marketing.
Where does your site sit in the SERPs for your keywords? What kind of traffic are those keywords supposed to generate?
Everything is difficult at the start. You did much better than me, and we can see you are so hard ... the reaction of google is slow, so be patient, why not give yourself 2 more month to see the result? Personally I like the way you were dealing SEO and promoting your site.
are you getting the traffic? if yes, all it need is a conversion... maybe you're not in the right place to promote your site reason why you are not getting the sales or the landing page is not that appealing.
More than likely the generic keywords that you need still have you in the sandbox. Be patient once you are out your traffic will rapidly increse if you keep up the content. good luck. Have you tried an adwords campaign in the meantime? Also add some more languages to your site, its alot easier to get generc keywords in languages other than english.
Be patient. Sometimes that is all that's needed. But, with it you might like to try some other social media platforms like social networking and social bookmarking sites. A lot of online marketers already swear to the effectiveness of these platforms when it comes to reaching a wider range of audience. Do not stretch yourself too thin though. Just start off with Twitter and Facebook and work it out from there.
I agree with most of our friends here. Be more patient. It takes a while before you see good results. You can also try looking at your pages. Are "call to action" items present in your sales page? Maybe you need a bit more improvement on that page to increase your conversion.
SEO results can take up to 12 months to show benefits. What is your current back-link count? What PR does your linking sites/directories have? What is your KW traffic estimates/density and anchor text count? Lots of thiungs to look at my friend. Dont get discouraged, just keep working. YOu have the basics, you just have to keep working and tweek for changes. Consult an SEO expert if need further help.
