Getting Different Results for checking index pages in Google

    Hi Freinds,

    I trying to check my site index pages in google.com

    when i am passing this parameter the result is site:www.promodirect.com
    Total Index Pages is 174

    And same time when i am passing site:www.promodirect.com/commerce Total Index Pages is 60,100

    Please suggest me why this difference is coming, and which result i should check

    the site: www*domain.com is a term,
    but the site: www*domain.com/commerce just a keyword in G's eye, it return the keywords results..
