Getting declined by Advertisers in CJ

I just recently bought a site that was making $400 / month from a program on CJ, but when I created my account and applied to the program, I got a popup saying I was declined. I have no idea what I did wrong. I guess it might be me being a new member and having low network earnings.

Is there anything I can do about this, or do I have to just deal with being declined and move on? Is there any particular reason for advertisers declining applicants just like that?

    I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Move on. It appears that either the program that your seller was making $400 from has realized that they were paying out so much and want to cut you off... or the fact that since you're a beginner member that you have no track history of brining in good traffic so they deny you. Try signing up to smaller offers on CJ and wait a month or two... then you'll have the traffic at least to backup your bigger ads

Alright. I'll do that. Should I try contacting the advertiser to see why I was declined?

Yes, contact the AM for that advertiser and I would also explain how your site would be a benefit to their company. Sounds like that advertiser accepts or declines publishers automatically using a filter system. Perhaps that advertiser only accept publishers from the US? Could be a number of other things also. Regardless, I'd shoot a email their way and find out. Best of luck!

Yes, but don't focus asking why you have declined but in asking for a manual approval.

Save this letter as your standard template for future use and dont forget to mention your PID#

only advertiser that make public their email can be contacted

    Good Luck!

Yes conact the merchant via cj. If your site is generating sale, probably they will accept you in their program.

Thanks for the advice guys. I really appreciate it.

The program I am trying to apply for is NetQuote. I can't find their contact details when I click advertiser details. Should I just try contacting directly through their site?

I am looking for an insurance program that pays for leads. If anyone is able to recommend a program that pays as much as NetQuote for leads, I'm all ears. :)

    Hello,

As an advertising company through CJ, what companies typically look for are advertising partners with a fair balance of content to go with a nice blend of ads.

What you should do is evaluate your website to make sure you fit this criteria.

As a business, due to the effects on our own EPC rating, we are currently only accepting websites through CJ which offer a fair balance of independent content and ads.

Websites that are strictly "banner pages" are terrible for Advertisers as you can potentially serve dozens of impressions in a single pageload with little to no conversion. You will find that many Advertisers will reject your application due to this kind of marketing.

This is a main reason that we go about declining many potential advertisers.
I'm sure companies have their own reasons, this is one of ours.

In addition, be careful about how you identify yourself. If you say you are strictly Website/Content, then make sure you have a website up when you apply. You have no idea how many people apply for acceptance but provide nothing to show for what they are telling us they will do. If this appears to be your means of advertising us, we need to know how you will be advertising our products.

    Hope this information helps.

    Regards,
