Getting content for a site that needs user input

    Hi,

I'm about to launch a job site that will be a bit like Gumtree.com and so requires people to post jobs before I start advertising. I don't want visitors coming to a site with nothing on it!

I am wondering if anyone could provide a good way of getting employers to participate aside from e-mailing them telling them the site is about to launch and we needs jobs!

Can anyone think of anything else?

    Thanks in advance,

    Khalid.

Posting on employment-related forums might work, so long as it is within the boards' rules.

Also, another idea... contacting employment agencies (ie. people with a lot of vacancies, rather than just a few) might work.

You could also pay a few people to write dummy job related posts for you, of course the challenge would be finding people who can sound believable

Thanks for the advice, agencies is definately on the top of my list, in addition to large companies. I'll take a look for forums!!!

I have a few friends who own companies that need staff so I'll ask them to post too.

Maybe an adwords campaign with keywords like "Free Job Posting"....?
