I have paid a thousand dollars from adwords last month and haven't receive any click. I am using content network and paying 0.05 per click . what should I do ?
Oh, my. That's a big chunk of change to find out something isn't working. It could be that your ads are attracting non-buyers or that your landing page isn't good. Could you share more details?
That is the problem with adwords especially the content network. It is always a gamble and a fine balancing act between profit and expense. However, spending a thousand dollars without receiving anything is a bit much. You should be able to judge if your campaign is working or not with a smaller budget.
Stop what you're doing - if you've had 20000 clicks & no sales - just stop. Check the functionality of your site from top to bottom, to make sure that people could buy if they wanted to. Run a report to see where on the content network your ads were showing - and don't ever advertise there again.
Wow, I really can't imagine spending $1000 on ads and not getting any leads. I usually can tell if an offer is working after 100 to 200 clicks. If I don't get any leads by then, then it's time to move on.
I direct your attention to google website optimizer to A/B split test your landing page because with a 0% conversion on 20K hits, your site seriously needs an overhaul. Run a survey of the people and ask them why they aren't buying and incorporate that information into your sales letter. Scott
With the content network, you're targeting is based on the theme of your keywords so you may need to revise your keywords to make sure they are directing your ad placements on the right sites. Tightening the theme and not diluting an ad group with too many differing keywords helps with Content targeting.
Try to make more "blunt" copy, as in telling people exactly what they need to do. This will increase conversions on content network and give you less but more qualified clicks. but honestly if you've spent $1000 on it and its got not a single conversion its best to just drop it and move on to another offer.
Go to Google and read up on LPO (Landing Page Optimization). You also need to figure out WHO your customers are and what do they need. You need to keep your visitor longer than just 4 seconds, and to do that you seriously have to look at your landing page. There are studies done on how to keep your visitor engaged, before taking off. Do a search and study, study, study. While the numbers vary from 3 to 8 seconds but that is the amount of time your visitor will stick around your page to decide if it has what it needs or move on. No disrespect, but your site does not have what your customers are looking for, so they split. It is a great misconception that SEO = Conversion. The truth is SEO = Clicks, not sales conversions. you need to shovel dirt on that campaign quick. and before you re-test, does the product you offer even convert? and if you do re-test, have you tried running the campaign on the search network? also check where your ads are appearing and from where your traffic is coming. social sites like myspace give a lot of clicks from cheap but don't covert well for many niches.
