The number of visitors was collected from my access log. The number of pageviews were counted by Adsense Tracker. 1/16 - 11 visitors, 57 pageviews 1/17 - 6 visitors, 30 pageviews 1/18 - 6 visitors, 4 pageviews (Clearly some of the pageviews were missed.) As you can see, the traffic has been minimal. I certainly can't count on the traffic from the blogs to cover my costs and make this experiment profitable. I am using Yahoo Site Explorer to track my website links. Here are the number of links I have found so far: 1/16 - Blogger entries posted 1/17 - 4 links 1/18 - 5 links 1/19 - 9 links The links have basically been appearing based on their pagerank. Since half the bloggers had PR0 or PR1, it could be a while before all the links show up. Here is the ranking in Google for my keyword. I have included data for a few weeks before the test to give you a sense of where I have been with this keyword. Hi RomanticGuy, update in SERPs for your keywords usually isn't so fast. Links which you earn now usually needs 1-2 months to show some value. Thank you once more for detail info. It seems to me that those programs aren't worth much its money (usually), but as part of bigger link campaign (2k$+) i would use up to 20% on PeyPerPost and similar programs.

Wow I think I have found a gold mine with this post. I love the detailed information you have written and it has got me seriously thinking about diving into the ppp on both ends. i have a general question for anyone who would like to answer. The links that you get from these blogs, are they of value ? and could push you up in the serps? My other question is the ppp only review other blogs or general websites?

Yahoo sees those links quite quickly which probably means they are quite nice links. For my links Yahoo don't see those quickly at all. BTW, if you get 2 visitors for position 11th for your keywords you won't get more than 20 visitors if you are 1st. Think about it.
Most of the links that have shown up so far have been the PR3, PR4 and PR5 blogs. I should state that I what I am really counting is sites linking to mine. If the bloggers followed directions (not all did), I should links to at least 2 pages on my site. A few linked to other pages, but it is a little much for me to keep track off. I keep forgetting to mention the number of daily searches for my keyword. Yahoo lists 132 daily searches. I am estimating from that that Google has another 264 (double Yahoo) and MSN/Live has another 66 (half Yahoo). So my guesstimate is 462 daily searches. I am currently #5 in Yahoo and probably average 25 visitors a day from that keyword. My guess is that #5 for this keyword in Google would be worth about 50 visitors.
Google now has 6x more traffic for some keywords than Yahoo (in average). But in some countries like Japan, Yahoo is more popular. If you get 200 visitors daily it might mean 1000 visitors through long tail keywords and some nice money in long terms. Is your website poetry related? If not, in which niche do you play if it is not the secret?
I am sure the demographic of each search engine is different. My estimates are based on my understanding of the overall traffic of the search engines in relation to each other. This also reflects the ratio of my current search engine traffic. As of yesterday, 72% of my search engine traffic was from the US & Canada. Yes, the long tail is the source of most of my traffic. I get traffic from word combinations that I never would have thought of.

Am I reading your data right that you're getting 5X the traffic from Google than you got on the day your campaign launched? If so, your summary #4 doesn't seem to match that data...if anything it looks like you've gotten 5X traffic via Google, but not clear what's going on with Yahoo (looks like traffic dropped 16th-19th and has grown since). Is that accurate?
