I always print articles on my site that I have distributed. They may get filtered out of search results by the duplicate content filter, but they don't trigger the duplicate content penalty because they are only on my site once. Well, mine is free, so I would say it is worth the money. If you disagree I'lll give you double what you paid for it back. Yes, this is a large drawback. Using Article Distributor to run through the auto-signup takes about 30 minutes, and then it tae about 4 hours to click all the confirmation links. Fortunately this only has to be done once. On the flip side if I only write one article an month, Mad4's service will cost $180 and iSnare would cost $24. I guess I would say that if you write a lot, use software to save money in the long run. If you rarely write articles, use a submission service.
Thanks. I have that dispicable engineer's trait: Honesty. I try to avoid using the same hype that other software/article marketer's like to use. It gives me the heebee jeebee's to look at the pages for the other article submission softwares. Even the thought of them makes me shudder. I need to go shower now...
I just downloaded your software a couple of days ago, and I am very impressed with it so far. Do you have an autosignup feature? I could not find a button for the software to automatically signup to all 300 sites, so I had to click through them all and hit the signup link, everythi9ng from there were automatic though, but I could imagine it would not be hard to add a button for autosurfing through the 300 sites while I am out doing my groceries After the autosignup and clicking the emails you could have another autofeature that logs in and sets up your pen name(s) I know I would still have to click the emails, but it would still be saving some time. Thanks again for a great free program Kim
Version 2 (which is still in beta) has the auto signup feature. Version 1.2 does not. The download link for version 2 is http://www.after5webdesign.com/software/articledistributor2.zip I had never thought of automating the pen name portion, but I suppose it could be done. With the article dashboard script, if your registered and try to submit an article without a pen name, it will automatically ask you for one before sending you to the submit page. My software will automatically fill in your pen name field and continue on to the submit form, so there are no extra clicks to do this on a per site basis. By the way, Versions 1 and 2 were written in VB 6 using MSXML4. This was such a huge pain in the @$$ that I have pretty much stopped work on version 2 and I am moving on to version 3 using the .NET architecture. This will allow me to do a lot of really spiffy things and won't cause nearly as many problems with installs. Plus, thanks to a lot of really great feedback, there will be considerable improvement in the UI as well as support for non-Article Dashboard sites. I'll start adding the non article dashboard sites as quickly as possible using an XML feed (similiar to the way v1.2 and v2 work), and my eventual goal is to have a submission list of well over 1000 sites. (I have to admit, that's why I read this thread in the first place: I thought someone else already had it done! )
