I've authored original articles and submitted them manually to a list of recommended article submission sites. Alot of the articles later were picked up with my links intact and appeared on a multitude of sites. The objective is to build more links intelligently while avoiding linking farms and spammy schemes and scams that cost big bucks. I am interested in hearing different ideas and methods to get articles distributed on alot of sites. I have researched about automatic article submission tools but have not really read anything that has convinced me that it is worthwhile.(rss included) I have gone through some article submisson site lists but am interested in a more comprehensive list that includes sites that tend to get articles distributed more extensively on th internet not only on "adsense" sites but also on media sites. I am still not convinced that an article submission site's PR rank is really that important? Aren't the article submission site's back links more important than PR? I am also looking for new ways, smart ways to build links besides directories. I have found press releases to be a smart way to build links as well. Any ideas about smart ways to circulate, distribute articles online (maybe using an rss tool that works and isn't a scam-and not spammy --I would very much appreciate feedback and am open to hear persuasive theories on building links (innovative, intelligent and proven methods that aren't a waste of time) with article submissions in a faster smarter way. A new, list of article submission sites that are strong (instead of the same old sites) would indeed be refreshing. Thanks in advance!
Sorry to hijack this with a blatant advert but.......if you check out the thread in my signature I may be able to help you. There are a few comments from other DP'ers who were happy with the service. I can send a list of the sites I submit to if you are interested - you can try submitting them yourself or I can do it for you.
I have 300 websites.May i know do u have which category articles list? If u have finance related article list ,,Please inform me by a message.
I find press releases to be more effective than articles. PRWeb seems to be the best vehicle for distributing Press Releases.
I agree with apblake, PRWeb is easily the best. Not only do they distribute, but many copycat sites pull their press releases.
I agree that press releases are very good but a press release is normally promoting something whereas an article is supposed to be informative rather than self promotion (although links can be included as acknowledgement). Both are just as good but you need to make sure you send your article/press release to the right type of site.
A press release does not have to be self promoting. I run an agriculture commodity website. On one or two occasions I have written an article which I think contains ideas which may be viewed as news by other media outlets. I have rewritten the article into a press release, which mentions my website as part of the explanation of who I am. The idea is to come across as an expert in your field. It helps if you really are an expert -- that is, know what you are talking about. Press releases can backfire if a journalist uses it as the basis for a story. If you do not know what you are talking about, you will be made an example of in a very public way. You also need a tough skin -- I have been ridiculed in speeches at conventions -- only to have ensuing events prove me right. I have been ridiculed in newspaper articles -- only to have ensuing events prove me right.
I would say that submitting your articles to ezines that archive their issues are also a good to get quality back links. The archived ezine pages are basically web pages that indexed sooner or later, and are usually permanent links.
I try to use a mix of resources. I pay attention to the new directory announcements both at DP and at http://info.vilesilencer.com as well. It only takes a few minutes each morning to add my link to any newly announced directories. I also try to write at least one article per month and submit it to as many article directories as possible. I also submit these articles to sites that deal with the article's topic. I only use press releases when I think I have something news worthy that pertains specifically to my site or software. Another way I generate links and traffic is through forums. If you make an excellent and informative post on a topic, many of the topic's readers will visit your links. Maybe one of them will blog about your site, maybe not. Maybe they'll link to you naturally. Either way, they have visited your site. If your site is good, they'll come back (which is the ultimate goal of links anyhow, right?). Now if I only had a site that people wanted to come back too! LOL!
I like to submit my articles to www.goarticles.com and amazine.com as they seem to get the most action there.
Hi, Do you guys submit an article that can also be found on your website or is it specially created article to provide a link to your site.
I recommend Isnare to distrib articles. http://www.isnare.com/distribution.php The best thing is they only charge $2 per article.
The best thing to do is write an article specifically for distribution. This way you keep your website unique.
Press Releases: I appreciate the feedback and am looking for more input. I have also used PRweb and have found that many times the sites they appear on are in fact just other PRweb sites like:emediawire.com,ca.prweb.com..I have also found that if you take a string of text from the release and actually check the links on google/yahoo, & go to the source and look for the link it's not there. Is PRweb the only service around? Are there any press release services that are better. I haven't though found a better press release service. To thier credit though we have seen that our press release (with our link) has been viewed over 25,000 times! Press Release versus article submission? I don't think it should be one or the other. I believe that good seo requires both. Thank you "Mad4" for your offer of submitting articles for me. I'm leaning towards either continuing to do it manually myself or buying "article submission" software and doing myself. Does anyone have experience using the any of the following: -'Article Post Robot' -'Article Submitter' 'Article Announcer'
I have not really seen any real proof that any of these 'article submission' software are worth the money, any thoughts?
Yes a lot of copycats do pull their listings but I have found A LOT of them that remove your links within the articles, this doesnt help and there hasnt been much that can done cause most of these copycats are outside the US. You can send them a nice letter but they never do anything.
The problem with article submission software is that the first time you use it you have to manually register an account with all of the websites and then they each send a confirmation email with a verification link which you have to visit. This process takes ages as you can imagine!
No. And I make no secret of that to my clients. To submit 2 articles manually to 180 sites at an average of 5 minutes per site would take around 15 hours.
