Getting around a website block with www7

If a website is blocked in a certain country, eg www,blockeddomain.com, but www7.blockeddomain.com works what's going on there?

Surely www7 is just another subdomain prefix same as www and if the government has blocked the domain surely it doesn't matter what subdomain they try to go to?

Maybe something to do with proxies or such like, but the traffic is direct, I dunno

It depends on how they blocked it. If they blocked the address of www.blockeddomain.com, it won't apply to www1.blockeddomain.com. If they block the root domain of blockeddomain.com it would be better.

Simply blocking domain.com doesn't mean subdomain.domain.com is also banned. But they need to ban domain.com and its subdomains, then it should not be accessible, otherwise, you know:).
