Sorry, not quite sure what you are getting at. Are you saying we need to be fair to Google? Or do you mean if you follow Google's policies you'll be ok?

The easiest solution would be to have a text area in Google Adsense panel, like the Competitive ad filter, where we could post what sites we "own" .. this way revenue sharing would be no problem.Sites that have our OK to show ads. The ones that don't .. can show our ads but in test mode.. or show nothing at all.

It's extremely easy do setup but I guess Google just doesn't want to do it.

There's already a virus that infects computers and sends itself via Yahoo Messenger.. it changes the default home page of IE to a page full of Google ads.. complained but nothing happened, no reply.. was solved by Geocities removing the page and the registrar killing the domain that had the virus.

No the upper one on the Channel page...where the full URL is supposed to be entered...

Still it seems for tracking purposes only and leaves the security & privacy holes mentioned.

    Update

There was an email from Google Adsense support asking me to answer 5 questions.

    Here is the 5th question

What else can we do to better serve you? Specifically, let us know if there are things you would like the Google AdSense Team to continue, stop, or start doing. (optional)

I posted the OP's original post and URL for the blogger in the box provided :D

    We shall see....

I know for a fact that Adsense are open to discussing potential violations. Size of account may matter. With smaller, less profitable accounts it may not be worth Google's while to do any investigation, time vs payoff. The larger your account the higher the likelihood they will listen. IMHO.

Here is what Adsense wrote to me in response to my inquiry.

Hope this helps ease some fears...I also realize some may fall through the cracks...

Please note I removed the Google employees' name as I did not wish to invade their privacy.

You're right, of course... people only do things for logical moral reasons... no one actually ever wants to do things just to be dickish. That's why I keep telling people how useless anti-virus programs are. It's not like there are any people out there writing real computer viruses.

You apparently read the first post and then commented.

Had you read my last post just a few spaces up you would have seen Google responded to the situation with reassurance nobody would be able to have you banned by using your code.

    Peace

sometimes these human touch thing reviewing invalid clicks can be screwed out. if your the 500th account being reviewed on that day having invalid clicks and if the reviewer is getting really pissed off then you might just get banned. hehe just my imagination, i think the mods should make a sticky thread on what users should do if they get banned, coz these kind of thread has been dealt with a hundred times. :)

Well this is why pencils have erasers on the ends of them, we all make mistakes...

well except for mvandermar but thats because he rides the spacial bus a lot :D

I agree an employee no matter where can have a bad day and pull the wrong plug...(bad pun intended) and terminate an account but with a proper e-mail to Google it can be remedied.

What is alarming is the amount of people who are banned and innocent...

Oddly enough most prisons are crowded with innocent people..... if you ask the prisoners that is :D

    Peace
